Gmail Character Counter by SUMMARLY is a free Chrome add-on that helps you write concise emails within the 280-character limit. With this add-on, you can effortlessly compose short and impactful emails, as it displays a character counter, word count, and total time spent writing the email.
The character counter is designed to turn red if your email exceeds the 280-character limit, similar to the Twitter character limit. Additionally, the word count feature shows you the number of words that can be read in less than a minute, with a maximum limit of 200 words.
Please note that the add-on currently supports one compose at a time, but the developers are actively working on a fix to support multi-compose.
Your privacy is of utmost importance, as this add-on does not store or process any data server-side. All processing is done on the client-browser.
